● Colourframe commissioned by famous organist Phil Kelsall MBE to produce performance DVD
Colourframe have recently been working on a DVD programme for world-renowned Blackpool Tower Ballroom organist Phil Kelsall MBE, entitled 'The Best Of Times'. Filmed at four seperate venues in the north of England, the DVD will showcase Phil's superb playing skills, and will be sold at various retail outlets, including the Tower and Phil's website. Filmed in high definition, the DVD will be released in June 2011.
● Colourframe creating high-definition music video for Last Regards
Colourframe have recently finished work filming and editing a high definition music video for Last Regards, 'Forever Endeavour'. Shot over 2 days in Rainhill, the video is now available for viewing online on youtube. See our Music Video Production page to see the video.
● Chris Owen filming football matches for BBC1's The Football League Show 2010 - 2011 season
Colourframe's camera operator Chris Owen is again filming football matches this season for BBC1's The Football League Show, at Shrewsbury Town, Rochdale, Oldham, Bury, Stoke City, Macclesfield Town and other north west clubs. The footage is also used by ITV and other TV stations around the world.
UPDATE - Another successful season has just finished, with Chris covering 40 matches for TV.
● Chris Owen covering boxing for Sport UK /Eurosport
Chris Owen has started working freelance for SportUK's live boxing coverage, screened live by Eurosport.
● Colourframe filming and editing DVD of Welsh FA/Flintshire Football Trust coaching conference
Colourframe have been commissioned to provide coverage of Flintshire Football Trust's national coaching conference in Brymbo, North Wales, attended by football coaches from around the country, and featuring talks by staff from Liverpool FC, and former England international Phil Neal.
● Colourframe Productions commissioned by BAFTA to cover Sherlock Holmes TV adaptation event
Chris Owen recently filmed a public event featuring TV writer Steven Moffat and producer Sue Vertue, who were interviewed on stage and answered audience questions regarding the TV adaptation of Sherlock Holmes. The filming was commissioned by BAFTA London, and will appear on their website.
● Colourframe Productions filming tennis champion Heather Watson for TV feature on Channel TV
We recently filmed Britain's US Open girls' champion Heather Watson winning a LTA tournament in North Wales. The footage is for Channel TV (ITV's Channel Islands station) for a sports feature on Heather.
● Colourframe Productions creates high definition music promo video for electronic duo Future Perfect.
Chris Owen has recently been working with Future Perfect's Simon Owen and Rebecca Morgan to film and edit a high definition promo video for their single, 'Discover Me'. The video can be viewed on our Music Video Production page.
● Colourframe Productions cover Thomas The Tank Engine public event for Sassy Films.
We were commissioned by the renowned Sassy Films to cover a Thomas The Tank Engine fun event day at Llangollen railway station. The filming was edited into a promotional feature for their website.
● Colourframe Productions working with Chat Noir Productions on Asda/Children In Need shoot
Chris has recently provided camerawork for Chat Noir Production's coverage of Asda's Eastlands store's promotional Children In Need event.
● 'Elements' to premiere at experimental music and film festival in Washington, USA
Colourframe Productions are proud to announce that our multimedia short film, 'Elements' is to receive its premiere at a 3 day festival of experimental music and film at The Capital Theatre in Washington, USA. Filmed and edited by Chris Owen, 'Elements' is a ten-minute abstract film featuring a sequence of fluid, organic, coloured, moving images set to an ambient music score created by Ian Paul. An earlier version, titled 'Seconds Of Arc', won the Best Music Media award at the 2006 FFresh Festival, the student film and animation festival of Wales.
● Covering the Bodyflight 2009 World Challenge indoor skydiving event
Chris recently worked as freelance camera operator for Digital Visitor to film the Bodyflight 2009 World Challenge, an indoor skydiving tournament hosted in the world's tallest vertical skydiving tunnel in Bedford. Over 50 teams from 16 nations competed for the world crown over 2 days. The filming will form part of a DVD to promote the facility and future events at the venue. www.bodyflight.co.uk
● Creating a promotional music video for metal rock band Severenth
Colourframe Productions has been commissioned to write, shoot and edit a promotional music video for award-winning metal rock band Severenth's. 'The Age Of Paranoia' is the lead track from their new album of the same name. www.severenth.com

● Filming and editing a series of seminars for The Chancery Bar Association in London
Chris has recently been hired by Chat Noir Productions to work alongside them on a multi-camera shoot, covering a series of important seminars by The Chancery Bar Association, held in the prestigious Great Hall at Lincoln's Inn Fields in London, the capital's largest public square. ● Filming and editing a music video for singer/songwriter Mark Pavey
Colourframe are currently working with Llandudno-based singer/songwriter Mark Pavey to produce a promotional video for his song 'Brothers On The Run', taken from his forthcoming album, 'Only Connect'. www.markpavey.com
● Filming Best Of British Variety Tour at Blackpool's Winter Gardens for a live DVD.
Colourframe's producer, Chris Owen, was recently one of the camera crew assembled by Dash Productions to shoot a live DVD of the popular Best Of British Variety Tour, featuring Frank Carson, Paul Daniels, Cannon & Ball, The Krankies, Jimmy Cricket and The Brotherhood Of Man. The performance was filmed at the Opera House in Blackpool's Winter Gardens, the largest theatre in Britain.
● Filming Gary Numan headlining the Wickerman festival in Scotland
Chris Owen was part of a camera crew working for Dash Productions shooting Gary Numan's headline appearance at the Wickerman festival in Scotland for a future live 'official bootleg' DVD. Accompanied by a stunning light show, Gary's brilliant late night set featured tracks from his new Jagged Edge CD, plus reworked versions of older classics.www.dashproductions.co.uk
● Filming The Hurlers and Crimson Dawn official music videos for Seth Lakeman
Seth Lakeman is a young, critically-acclaimed singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who was nominated for the prestigous Mercury Music Prize in 2005 for his debut album, Kitty Jay. His new album, Poor Man's Heaven, has received great reviews. It has featured in the top 10 of the UK album chart, and was at number 1 on Amazon's pre-order album chart. To help promote the album, Dash Productions were commissioned to produce two videos, one for new single, The Hurlers, and another for Crimson Dawn. www.sethlakeman.co.uk

Mark Rovira and Chris Owen shot the two videos in a day-long shoot at the stunning Minack Theatre near Porthcurno in Cornwall. Both videos were shown on terrestrial TV and digital TV music channels.

● Filming two stand-up shows by UK comedienne Gina Yashere at Hackney Empire, London
Chris was recenty part of Dash Productions' freelance camera crew, filming the award-winning Gina Yashere over two consecutive sell-outs show at the famous Hackney Empire. The shows were released on DVD as 'Gina Yashere - Skinny B*tch'
● Filming a performance by Marc Almond and his band at Wilton's Music Hall, London
Chris recently worked as freelance camera operator to help shoot a performance by ex-Soft Cell frontman Marc Almond at the renowned Wilton's Music Hall in London, the world's oldest surviving grand music hall. The show was filmed for a future live DVD release. The DVD has been released as 'Marc Almond - In Bluegate Fields - Live at Wilton's Music Hall'.
● Filming The Chuckle Brothers' latest pantomime DVD
Another recent freelance job was this Digi-Beta shoot for The Chuckle Brothers' next live pantomime DVD. The brothers chose to shoot their latest show, The Kingdom Of The Mythical Sulk at Darlington's Civic Theatre. Chris was part of the camera crew who did the filming for a DVD that was released in September 2008.
● Road-testing new hi-def XD Cam EX1 cameras for Sony at Unkle concert in London
As part of 11:22 Entertainment Ltd.'s documentary on cult music band Unkle, titled The Man From Unkle, Chris Owen was hired as one of a camera crew to shoot the band's sell-out performance at Brixton Academy using Sony's brand new high definition XD Cam EX1 cameras. Sony had representatives at the concert, liasing with the production crew to gather feedback from how we felt the cameras performed in a concert situation. www.themanfromunkle.com
● High definition shoot of UNESCO The Heritage Of Wales factual DVD
Produced for UNESCO to promote and highlight medieval and modern day heritage sites in Wales, this 11:22 Entertainment Ltd. production was shot in high definition by acclaimed HD cameraman Mike Brennan and Chris Owen. Directed by MJ McMahon, the film was narrated by veteran Welsh actor Philip Madoc. www.1122entertainment.com
● Shooting two shows in Galway by Irish singer/songwriter Sean Keane
This was a four day trip to Galway on the west coast of Southern Ireland to shoot a pair of sell-out shows on consecutive nights by popular Irish performer Sean Keane for a future live DVD release.
